Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council are planning to install around 50 new chargers in three phases between February and August 2024. Once this work has been done, every Ward in the Borough will have at least one EV charging point in it.
The location of the EV charging points isn’t done by guesswork – it’s based on resident feedback, which Hampshire County Council compiles and then passes to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to analyse and survey.
However, residents’ feedback on where they want EV charging points in their area is required.
Obviously, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council can’t promise that they can afford to meet every request – but more feedback should result in a more balanced distribution of new chargers throughout the Borough.
