Our Parish Council

The council held its first meeting on 13th December 1894 in the Mission Room, Little London, when the first parish councillors were chosen. The first business meeting was on 8th January 1895 in the schoolroom at Pamber Heath.

What do we do?

The Parish Council’s duties include:

  • Management of recreation ground, hall and facilities and specific land within the Parish
  • Review and comment on planning applications within the Parish
  • Liaise with relevant authorities regarding infrastructure /policing/community issues to represent your views and get the best advantage for the local area
  • Engage with all interested parties regarding the current and future shape of life in the local area

When we meet

  • The council meets at 7.30 pm on the second Monday of each month except August, alternating between Pamber Heath Memorial Hall and St. Stephen’s Hall, Little London. For more details on the dates, times and venue of Council meetings, please click here.
