Lest We Forget

100 years on from the end of the Great War

Come and join us as we dedicate a bench to the memory of those that gave their lives that we may be free. 

The Mayor of Basingstoke will attend the service lead by Rev Cathy Pynn to both, remember the fallen and celebrate the 100 years on from its end. Refreshments will be available for young and old supplied by the local scouts and Parish Council. All donations receive will go to the British Legion.

Following the lighting of the beacon, which will form part of the nationwide involvement, there will be a small firework display.

Further information will be added to this page when finalised.

 

Those attending are reminded that they are not to bring their own fireworks to the display. Safety zones will be in place to keep the public safe. First Aiders will be in attandance and the local Police Fire and Ambulance servises have been notiufied of the event.

Marshalls will be in attendance to keep order and safeguard the public.

Please respect those that are officiating at the event.
